English language homestay courses - Young learners
Example of a typical day for young learners
After breakfast with their host family or tutor family, young learners have lessons in the morning either at their host home > Accommodation or at their tutor’s house, depending on their programme. > Course details and options
Mealtimes are a great opportunity to learn new customs and to listen and use practical everyday language with the family. Young people are particularly quick to learn in this natural environment and soon adapt to their new surroundings.
After lunch at home, the afternoon is free for outings, visits and leisure activities according to their agreed programme > Special interests. These excursions are taken with adult hosts or tutors in the local area > Location and students are always under close adult supervision. On some days, a pack lunch is provided to allow more time for having fun outside.
After a busy afternoon, the evening can be spent relaxing at home, in the garden, reading a book (in English of course!) or watching a video (in English also). Students are usually quite tired in the evening, but a beach barbeque is a popular evening activity at the end of the week.
